We compute a spectral-flux-style onset envelope, auto-tune a dynamic threshold, then pick local maxima with BPM-guided minimum-gap logic. The result is a clean list of beat timestamps aligned to the main pulse of the track.

The Beat Finder outputs the estimated BPM of the track plus the exact second-accurate position of every beat it locked onto — ready for DJ software, video editors, or rhythm games.

Copy the beat list to the clipboard or export it as a CSV for further scripting. Great for auto-cutting video on beats, building custom beat maps, or syncing lighting rigs to music.

No app install, no signup. Any recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari can run the Beat Finder, on desktop or tablet. Your audio file never leaves your device.

Everything you need to know about this tool.
On modern music with a strong rhythmic pulse (EDM, hip-hop, pop, rock) the detector is typically within a few milliseconds of the true downbeat. Sparse, rubato, or highly orchestral audio can be harder — the detector may thin out or miss a handful of beats.
Not explicitly. The Beat Finder returns all detected beat positions of the main pulse. For most DJ / editing workflows that's what you want; downbeat-aware detection is on our roadmap.
50–220 BPM out of the box — covering everything from ballads and lofi (60–90 BPM) through rock / pop (100–130) up to drum & bass / jungle (170+).

Yes. The beat timestamps are metadata derived from your own file — you're free to use them in DJ sets, edits, music videos, games, or any commercial project.
